Milky Way Data Groups
The Digital Universe data groups fall into distinct categories. Some are 3-D data, like the stars, others are images or graphical representations of Galactic structure. Here, we discuss each data group in the context of these four categories: “3-D Catalogs,” “All-Sky Surveys,” “Models, Simulations, and Images,” “Coordinate Grids.”
